Sheerness

A medium skylith of high, snowy mountains and deep forest valleys, Sheerness orbits in the outermost part of the middle reaches.  Sheerness is a remote skylith which is not densely inhabited.  Its sharp, craggy peaks reach toward the nearby skyway, splitting the wind, which leaves them wreathed in clouds and thunderstorms much of the time; so much so that they are rumored to be favored homes for cloud giants and even a Silver dragon or two.  In contrast, the deep pine-forest valleys of Sheerness are frequently in shadow and hide many wonders of their own, both awesome and terrible.  In between, an outward-facing plateau is home to grasslands and a city built into the surrounding cliffside; airships can land, but the geography and proximity to the edge of the skyway provide natural defenses against all but the best airship pilots.
