Pembroke

Shaped vaguely like a pair of uprooted mountains, Pembroke is a large skylith with a nickel-iron interior.  Its location near the center of the middle reaches of Skyway means it's favorably positioned for trade with nearby Duquesne and Commerce for goods transfers.  Gemhallow, a large city in the bottom interior of the skylith, is well-defended against raiders and storms.  Above, on the eastern edge of a plateau, the hold Bandolier provides a trading hub for the surrounding herders.

Climate:

mild, but cloud cover and rainfall on the outward side very affected by the mountain peaks and rain shadows

Terrain:

Very mountainous, with 2 enormous main peaks surrounded by plateaus and buttes, which fall away to an edge with loose scree.  Forests and greenery depend on the rain shadows.
