Waypoint Whim

The V-shaped Waypoint Whim has a tilted, elliptical orbit which manifests as a complicated dance with Pembroke.  Somehow, the waypoint has managed to avoid either collisions or ejection from its orbit.  When the nodal precession is favorable, the waypoint is a handy stop for travel heading to the outer reaches, and caters to a lot of airship traffic.  At other times, it has longer-term warehousing for transshipping.

Orbit:

elliptical, periapsis within Leander, apoapsis in the system north.  In a higher-order secular resonance with Pembroke, so the perturbations can affect the elements of the ellipse.

synchronous

Gravity:

variable, but averages earth-normal

Terrain:

other than where the waypoint station is, overgrown steep hills with laurel and podocampus

short-term stay, transshipping, long term storage of items

Known for:

its crazy orbit

Hazards:

occasional storm (if apoapsis is far enough out to hit the shear wall inward of Kizil); would-be explorers could also take a nasty fall
