The Celebration of Apastron

In Cliffshadow, the Celebration of Apastron is about creating light and making space for Korekore. It is a day of cleaning and lighting lanterns and candles. There are large communal bonfires where things you no longer need can be sacrificed to make space for Korekore. 

There are also contests for holding your breath or standing longest in the smoke from the bonfires. Special food for the Celebration of Apastron is the Apastrami sandwich.

The execution of criminals sometimes happens on this day, especially when the execution is by throwing them from a skylith.
