  • Dryali Tezbeth, Kalleth Ebonygrit, Manu, and Kaikoa took a mission from the Church of Storms to track down Gillian of the Daystar worshippers.
  • The Freelancers checked out the warehouse previously found to be the place of lotion production, to no avail.  Kaikoa found the Daystar worshippers in the Park and was offended by their activities, as would be all right-thinking persons.  He led the others to the location, but once all were there, the Daystar worshippers had left.  They tracked one to his house, but learned nothing of interest.
  • On Fysitag, The Freelancers staked out the place in the Park used by the Daystar cultists.  After stealing a lotion, they followed two separate cultists and staked out those as well.  In the end, they trailed a Wind sagani shopkeeper named Mea.
  • The Freelancers followed Mea to a jewelry shop in Parkside named Hinulei.  Manu and Kalleth watched her buy a new lotion from Mansel, confirming the Daystar cultists were there.  Kaikoa and Dryali kidnapped Mea, who revealed there are 7 of them in the jewelry shop.  Dryali relieved Mea of her new lotion.
  • The Freelancers brought Mea to the Church of Storms, and delivered her, the jar of lotion, and Mansel's location to Typhoon Waiola, who declared that meant they know where Gillian is, and paid the fee of 100 eagles each.
  • Returned to Freelancers in Cliffshadow late on Fysitag, 2nd prime post-Tumultuous.
  • Despite the hour, Arnari Rilynn'sithek met with them, and Dryali delivered to her the lotion stolen initially.  She cast identify on the lotion to figure out what it is, which is a nasty assault on the user's wisdom.
Loot
  • Mission Pay: 100 eagles each (10% to Freelancers)

  • Dryali Tezbeth and Tahu Tuala met Meurig, and the three of them were given an opportunity to go to Stormhaven, as escorts of the Lady Sonya Drogo.
  • Dryali, Tahu, and Meurig went to House Drogo, met Lady Sonya and three retainers with whom they would travel to Stormhaven, and learned the purpose of the journey was to shop for an available shipbuilder, as Adam Biddle, the shipbuilder House Drogo normally patronizes, was already repairing an airship of theirs.  The group departed immediately.
  • The trip to Stormhaven was 6 days by carriage, and was mostly uneventful; but south of Haven they did have to defend against an attack by half a dozen wolves.
  • The travelers arrived at Stormhaven in early afternoon on Rochtag, and got rooms at the Gallant Gryphon.  Lady Sonya asked the Freelancers to procure recommendations for which shipbuilders she should engage to repair two damaged airships.
  • The Freelancers visited the Stormhaven enclave of the Great Workshop of Eternal Refinements.  Gilthur, the enclave's master artificer, was happy to make positive and negative recommendations to guide them on their way.
  • The Freelancers visited the shipbuilders at Shipmonger, The Portly Mast, and Misty Mooring, but discovered they were less prepared than they'd thought to have a discussion of potential work; The Portly Mast workshop did not talk to them.
  • Having not eaten since mid-day on the road, the Freelancers decided to patronize The Safe Harbour inn.  Their hope to get more information from other patrons paid off, and they learned of another shipbuilder of good repute, Ozias Cloudslicer.
  • Upon receipt of this information, Lady Sonya chose to use Shipmonger and Misty Mooring for her airship repair needs.
  • The Freelancers served as go-betweens for Lady Sonya in her negotiations, which were without incident of note.
  • On Kenostag the travellers departed Stormhaven, and had a safe journey back to Cliffshadow by carriage.  They collected a fee from Lady Sonya of 150 eagles each.
  • Returned to Freelancers in Cliffshadow on Sieratag, 2nd prime post-Tumultuous.

  • Mission pay:  150 eagles (10% to Freelancers)

  • Tuala, Dryali, Manu, Hikawera, and Kaikoa took a mission from Korfel Goltorah, leader of the Children of Āhua town Mantzur, to remove the bloodhawks attacking travellers on the southward road, mostly because they sounded good to eat.
  • The Freelancers slaughtered and ate seven bloodhawks, although Hikawera was reluctant to cook them.  They attested to me, Nyls, that bloodhawks are indeed delicious with paprika.
  • The party of Freelancers found the bloodhawks' nest, and slaughtered three more bloodhawks.  The nest had 11 eggs, and a piece of jewelry, which they took with them while searching for origin.
  • Exploring further southward, the party of Freelancers were attacked by two satyr bandits, who are apparently associated with rowdy shrubs.  Hikawera's quick thinking distracted the satyrs and split the attackers, allowing the Freelancers to lay waste.
  • The Freelancers acquired 3 magic items, but neither coin nor clue from the satyrs.  Upon arriving at Mantzur, they collected their fee of 200 eagles and delivered the 11 bloodhawk eggs, as well as the news of the rowdy trees at Haven, which was ill-received.
    • Acquired:  Earring of Āhua, Loquacious Pendant, Ring of the Favored
  • Returned to Freelancers in Cliffshadow on Chaostag, 1st prime post-Tumultuous.

  • Meurig, Cathance Lobhdain, Fine Branch, and Kalleth Ebonygrit agreed to guard the Pilot's Guild stables so their gryphons can get some sleep.
  • The Freelancers visited Kahale Aisake in the Pilot's Guild, and devised their plan for catching the gryphon harassers, via clever use of buckets of gryphon poop.
  • The Freelancers put their plan in motion, but the miscreants failed to show the first night.
  • On the second night, the Freelancers had the satisfaction of turning one harasser into a shithead, and capturing another.
  • The captured miscreant turned out to be a hireling of Jamie.  He was also kind of a dick.
  • The Pilot's Guild took custody of the prisoner, and found out about the Skyguard Outpost getting vandalized.  The gryphons stopped getting harrassed.
  • The Freelancers remained on night guard until the end of the prime, and collected their fee of 150 eagles each.

  • Fine Branch, Dryali Tezbeth, Tahu Tuala, and Kalleth Ebonygrit embarked on a mission from the Cliffshadow Skyguard to investigate and hopefully stop the vandals defacing the walls of their building.
  • The Freelancers visited the Skyguard building, and observed the defacements thereon.  They met with Bryseis Seere, the female hanyou who is chief of the Cliffshadow Skyguard.  Fine Branch had a plan to make the vandals easy to track, and Tahu decided to look for similar graffiti elsewhere in Cliffshadow.
  • The Freelancers applied pigmented pitch to the ground around the Skyguard building, then kept watch over night from nearby roofs.  Once the miscreants showed up, the Freelancers tracked the four of them to their rooms in the Trade District.
  • The Freelancers attempted to apprehend the vandals, who preferred mayhem over detention.  A melee ensued, in which a pseudodragon also participated.  The Freelancers prevailed, but not before one of the miscreants, "Jamie", escaped (as did the pseudodragon).
  • The Freelancers returned to the Skyguard with the three apprehended miscreants, who had agreed to clean up their defacements from earlier in the evening.  Bryseis was unhappy about the night's vandalism until she realized the perpetrators were in hand, at which point she paid the fee of 400 eagles for their service.
  • Returned to Freelancers in Cliffshadow on Oriotag, 3rd prime post-Periastron.

  • Dryali Tezbeth, Kaelani, Hikawera, and Manu took a mission from Bertana Plumblossom of Haven to investigate the "rowdy" trees which had been interfering with the harvest in Haven, mostly because they wished to discover what that could possibly mean before the phenomenon faded out.
  • The party of Freelancers rented a mule & cart for their travel, and had an uneventful trip to Haven.  They arrived at noon.
  • Upon arrival, they visited Bertana Plumblossom, a female Mikumwes halfling, who had requested the contract from the Freelancers Guild.  She explained that her workers have been attacked by active shrubs which would chase them off.  She also suggested lodging for the night at The Local Flavour.
  • The Freelancers investigated the edges of the Plumblossom apple orchards, and found the shrubs in question.  Hikawera antagonized one of the shrubs with produce flame, and a battle between humanoid and shrub ensued.  In the end, an ambulatory beech tree appeared, doing its best to whomp Kaelani, but it too was defeated.
  • Since the Freelancers killed all the "rowdy" plants, they looked for more clues as to why, but found nothing.
  • A visit to the tavern was intended to reveal what local event predicated the rowdy trees, but instead Manu got so drunk the other Freelancers pranked him.
  • Lacking information, the Freelancers returned to Bertana in the morning.  She was happy with the destruction of the shrubs and paid the fee of 100 eagles each.  However, she also had no further information on events that could have caused the plant life to attack.
  • On the way out of Haven, the party of Freelancers stopped at a local distillery and Manu acquired 2 barrels of pear cider, which they brought back to Cliffshadow with the cart.
  • Returned to Freelancers in Cliffshadow on Rochtag, 3rd prime post-Periastron.
  • Upon receipt of the above report, Arnari declared the mission to clear bloodhawks harassing travellers on the road to the Children of Āhua town Mantzur urgent.
  • Manu sold one barrel of pear cider to Freelancers Tavern for 50% profit.
