  • Arnari deputized Sabah Banu, Murai, Meurig, Block Lamtand, Maghris Bloomfield the 18th, and Aranel Neras-Dumaren on the courier run to Pembroke, primarily so Block could have the opportunity to acquire a dire corgi.  Meurig carried the courier pouch.
  • The Freelancers traveled to Gemhallow without incident on the air elemental airship Tugendhat, captained by Letitia Herohouse.
  • Meurig delivered the courier pouch to Einkil Logehr, leader of the Gemhallow Freelancers, who paid the Cliffshadow Freelancers a fee of 100 eagles each.
  • They located a dog breeder, Inna Lang, a male Rock sagani who held a Gemhallow Royal Writ, and agreed with his wife Ina on three dire corgis, one each for Block, Murai, and Sabah.
  • Aranel acquired two casks of Coldstream ice wine from a merchant in the Gemhallow Market.
  • Einkil gave the Cliffshadow Freelancers a courier pouch for Arnari, and arranged return passage on the fire elemental airship Pandion, captained by Nolan Mountainbond.  Travel was without incident.
  • Returned to Freelancers in Cliffshadow on Okeanostag, 2nd prime post-Harvest.
  • In Cliffshadow, Meurig delivered the courier pouch to Arnari who paid the Cliffshadow Freelancers a fee of 100 eagles each.  Aranel sold the ice wine to Freelancers Tavern for 50% profit.

Even Bigger Bees Chasing Children of Āhua

  • Murai, Sabah, Lorcan Puddingrass Pasternack Tuinstra, Dominic Holyarm, and Maghris Bloomfield the 18th accepted a mission from Korfel Goltorah, leader of the Children of Āhua town Mantzur, to find the source of the giant bees that have been witnessed in the meadows to the south.
  • The Freelancers travelled to Mantzur in two days without incident.
  • In Mantzur, the Freelancers got more details from Korfel.  They also interviewed two Children of Āhua who'd been harassed by aggressive giant bees in the meadows to the south.
  • The next day, Korfel consulted with Mama Bear; but she reported no hive of giant bees in her territory.
  • The Freelancers headed to the indicated meadows and Lorcan, mounted on Bandit, was pursued by two giant bees.
  • The other Freelancers checked out the meadow the bees had been in.  At this point Murai was overcome by pollen and returned to Mantzur.  Dominic found a place where plate armour had been and walked off.  
  • Once Lorcan rejoined them, the Freelancers tracked the plate armour Dominic had noticed, and encountered an armour full of bees escorted by three giant bees.  Lorcan cast sleep on two giant bees, Dominic casts animal friendship on the third, and the Freelancers incapacitated the armour.
  • Using beast bond, Dominic convinced his friend the giant bee to lead the other two back to their hive, then come back.  In the process he discovered the hive location.
  • Dominic's friend the giant bee took almost a full day to return.  Meanwhile the Freelancers discovered the armour was full of thorny vines and honeycomb.
  • Mantzur reacted poorly to the visitation by the giant bee Dominic had befriended.  Korfel discovered the armour is powered by hag magic, and questioned whether the Freelancers had actually eliminated the hag plaguing Mantzur at the beginning of the year.  He still paid their fee of 100 eagles each.
  • The Freelancers left for Cliffshadow the next day, bringing the giant bee.  Travel was two days without incident.
  • Returned to Freelancers Tavern Petraag, 2nd prime post-Harvest.
Loot
  • Battered plate armour (worth 750 eagles)
  • Mission pay:  100 eagles each (10% to Freelancers)

  • Aranel Neras-Dumaren and Leafshadow took the mission from Wymar Adelard, leader of the Cliffshadow Dockworkers, to patrol Cliffshadow's dock tunnels and check the storm doors.
  • They carried out this duty from south to north in the cliff, and produced the following report.
    • Tunnel 1: Crap in the dogleg of the tunnel. 
    • Tunnel 2: Cityside doors have pebbles in the hinges.
    • Tunnel 3: Dockside doors have rust on the hinges.
    • Tunnel 4:  Mule poop in the tunnel; doors in good repair.
    • Tunnel 5:  Scrubbed-off graffiti on the pegasus mosaic; dockside doors have dryrot.
    • Tunnel 6:  Nothing in tunnel; doors in good repair.
  • The Freelancers gave their report to Wymar, who was surprised at no mention of Amar the drunk.  He paid their fee of 50 eagles.
  • Returned to Freelancers the same day.

  • Dominic Holyarm, Kairos Greybeard, Aranel Neras-Dumaren, Vinegar Tom, Damian Galanis, and Maghris Bloomfield the 17th accepted the ongoing mission from the wizard Gwidion to clean up altered wildlife along Pirates River.
  • The Freelancers travelled to Lakeview in 3 days without incident.
  • The Freelancers checked in with Popoki, the Mayor, and got rooms at the Biting Badger Inn.
  • Whilst in the tavern, Kairos and Vin overheard two drunk locals gossipping about "weird" events at the dam, and convinced the others it was worth checking out.
  • The Freelancers investigated the dam; Damian thought he saw something eating it.  He dashed in front to find nothing, and sent a sling bullet at movement in the woods.
  • Three oozes emerged from the woods, and the Freelancers fought and slew the oozes.  Unfortunately, the oozes slew Maghris.
  • The Freelancers retrieved Maghris' corpse and  returned to Lakeview, informing Popoki the dam had been getting eaten by oozes.  They then travelled to Cliffshadow in 3 days without incident.
  • Once in Cliffshadow, Kairos, Vin, and Dominic went looking for Arnari Rilynn’sithek at Church of Storms to find she was at Freelancers Tavern.
  • Aranel and Damian informed Tomtom Evans, who'd assigned the mission, of Maghris' demise.  Tomtom decided to use dust of reincarnation on Maghris.
  • Tomtom met Kairos, Dominic, and Vin in the stables, and the group removed to a meeting room in which Tomtom laid out Maghris and applied the dust of reincarnation, restoring him.
  • As they waited for Maghris to reincarnate, Arnari acquainted herself with this group of Freelancers for the first time.
  • Once Maghris was restored, the Freelancers informed Tomtom they didn't get to Pirates River, but instead ascertained the pollution was again affecting the Lakeview dam.  He paid them 90 eagles for the mission, and 100 eagles each for returning Maghris.  Tomtom also distributed the potions: philter of love (Kairos), potion of water breathing (Damien), potion of animal friendship (Aranel), potion of poison (Dominic), oil of slipperiness (Vin), potion of growth (Maghris).
  • Returned to Freelancers Kenostag, 1st prime post-Harvest.  This prime has certainly been eventful.

  • Murai, Timmy, Dominic Holyarm, Kairos Greybeard, and Aranel Neras-Dumaren were assigned the mission from Adrian Bryant of the Church of Storms, to backtrack the two people who orchestrated the attack and investigate their activities in Cliffshadow.
  • The Freelancers visited Church of Storms to gather what information they could from Adrian Bryant and the guard Bachtell.
  • Tracking in the direction Bachtell indicated, the Freelancers found a pair of teenagers who'd seen the Daystar heretics emerge from The Swan.
  • Before visiting The Swan, the Freelancers checked out the dungeon that had held the other Daystar cultists, and learned nothing new.
  • Since The Swan is a honeymoon inn, the Freelancers prepared a ruse that Dominic and Kairos had just gotten married, which Murai and Timmy ignored when talking to the concierge, Malak.  They discovered the Daystar cultists had prepaid for their room, and obtained a key.
  • The indicated room was empty, other than three tiny Daystar elementals and one halfling-sized.  The Freelancers attempted to shut them in and call for Malak, but a fight ensued in which the elementals were destroyed.
  • Along with the concierge, the Freelancers searched the room, to find evidence the Daystar cultists had a map prepared of the Church of Storm grounds.
  • The Freelancers brought this news to Adrian Bryant, who paid them their fee of 100 eagles each.
  • Returned to Freelancers Tavern the same day.
