  • Terrance, Fine Branch, and Tahu accepted a mission from Mayor Popoki of Lakeview to scout out the source of pollution in Mossey Lake.  Dryali joined them at the last minute.
  • The Freelancers took a short cut to the north end of Mossey Lake, but it went awry and they fought 2 giant elk, killing them and using the meat to augment supplies.
  • At the mouth of Pirates Dream river on the lakeshore, Dryali and Terrance flew some patterns checking for magic, and Fine Branch dug up worms looking for anything unnatural.  The worms were unnaturally large.
  • The Freelancers scouted upriver the following day, but were taken by surprise by a flan of oozes.  They prevailed, but not before Terrance was struck down and had to be revived by Tahu.
  • The oozes had left tracks leading back to a cave they'd used as a lair, full of the indigestible valuables of their victims.  Dryali retrieved it all via mage hand and a sack of Terrance's.
    • Acquired:  80 eagles, 1400 cats, 2000 pebbles,  1 hematite, 1 lapis lazuli, 1 obsidian, 1 rhodochrosite, boots of elvenkind, boots of striding & springing, wand of the war mage (+1), scimitar (+1)
  • The Freelancers returned to Lakeview and reported their findings to Mayor Popoki, and collected their fee of 100 eagles each.  The Mayor requested they tell Arnari he still wants the sources tracked down further.
  • Returned to Freelancers in Cliffshadow on Remitag, 2nd prime post-Planting.
Loot
  • coin: 80 eagles, 1400 cats, 2000 pebbles

  • Terrance, Tuala, Fine Branch, and Dryali Tezbeth accepted the mission from Korfel Goltorah, leader of the Children of Āhua town Mantzur, to remove the Hag causing them problems.
  • The Freelancers travelled to Mantzur without incident.  The next day Terrance and Tuala led the others to where they'd fought the dryads and needleblights three primes earlier.
  • Investigation showed unnatural mushrooms growing on the dead needleblights, and Fine Branch took samples. That evening, a wolf stalked their camp, but acted unnaturally.
  • The Freelancers tracked the wolf to a small, gloomy valley with a well-maintained path leading to a cottage at the far end.  They took an off-path approach to this cottage.  Dryali observed the cottage garden was full of poisonous herbs.
  • Fine Branch drew the cottage inhabitant outside by a ruse: pretending to be a Daystar cultist.  Despite an illusion, Fine Branch determined it was the hag.
  • The Freelancers attacked the hag, who called for assistance from 5 awakened shrubberies with graspy vines.  The Freelancers prevailed and slew all foes, but not without injuries and indignities.  Fine Branch took the hag's head as proof of her demise.
  • The Freelancers searched the cottage before burning the entire thing to the ground.  Fine Branch gathered tchotchkes that appeared to have sentimental value to others in the hope Korfel would be able to return them.
    • Acquired:  a ring of swimming, a broom of flying, an Immovable Rod, and various coin worth 235 eagles.
  • Upon presentation of the hag's head, Korfel paid the Freelancers their fee of 150 eagles each.  He inspected the mushroom samples and declared them "extra" poisonous.
  • Returned to Freelancers in Cliffshadow on Petraag, 1st prime post-Planting.
Loot
  • Coin: 235 eagles in assorted coins
  • ring of swimming
  • broom of flying

  • The Freelancers scouted the Kowiri Music & Tavern as part of preparations.  They learned the building layout, found out the music was bardificery, and the tavern had two bars, and a keg robot.
  • Kowiri Music & Tavern was popular, perhaps because the night before the Planting Holiday.  There was a long line to get in.
  • Kaikoa and Fine Branch stopped problems in the line.
  • Terrance and Dranila stopped a fight inside near the privies.
  • Osric discovered 3 airship crew trying to break into Martin's upstairs office, and these were apprehended by Osric, Dranila, Dryali, and Terrance.
  • Kaikoa found 3 saboteurs of the Goose attempting to emplace psychedelics in the keg robot.  2 were apprehended by Kaikoa, Tuala, and Fine Branch, but one ran away.  The 2 were administered their psychedelics, and left in a nearby alley.
  • The airship crew were returned to the mechanical airship Jeans, and are in the custody of Captain Korrin, a Green dragonborn.
  • Pleased that a breakin was prevented, Martin paid an extra 50 eagles on top of the agreed fee of 100 eagles to each Freelancer.
  • Returned to Freelancers in the wee hours before the Planting Holiday.

  • Terrance, Kaelani, and Cathance Lobdhain accepted a mission from Kaiea, the Mayor of Cliffshadow, to escort Lizzie Brannan up to Lakeview to take care of their leaky dam.
  • Cathance, Kaelani, and Terrance met with the Mayor of Cliffshadow, who told them the Lakeview Dam was leaking in random places.
  • The Freelancers accompanied Lizzie Brannan and Adam Crossman to Lakeview with a mule cart full of repair materials, taking 3 days to get there.
  • Kaelani, Cathance, and Terrance escorted Lizzie as she inspected the Lakeview Dam.  They were attacked by four grey oozes, which they defeated, and which were obviously the cause of the leaks.
  • For the next few days, Terrance, Cathance, and Kaelani assisted Lizzie in her dam repairs.  No further attacks ensued.
  • Lizzie felt the appearances of four oozes was unnatural, and advised Popoki, the Mayor of Lakeview, to keep an eye out for strange happenings.
  • Lizzie, Adam, and the Freelancers returned to Cliffshadow, and informed the Mayor of their discoveries.  They collected their fee of 150 eagles each, and Kaiea asked them to bring a new mission request to Arnari Rilynn'sithek to scout out the source of what caused the oozes.
  • Returned to Freelancers in Cliffshadow on Nemostag, last prime post-Fulcrum.

  • Dryali, Kaelani, Kaikoa, Manu, Terrance, and Hikawera accepted a mission from the Typhoon Waiola Vaina of Church of Storms to capture Gillian of the blasphemous Daystar worshippers.
  • The Freelancers cased the jewelry shop, Hinulei, which the Church of Storms had assigned acolytes to watch.  The acolytes were helpful, and Kaikoa discovered the Daystar worshippers were shipping their nasty lotion off the skylith.
  • Dryali and Hikawera used disguise self to set up a ruse to draw the cultist Mansel out of the building by pleading a need to visit the docks.  The ruse failed, but got inside and finished scoping out the bottom floor of Hinulei.  They confirmed the lotion was getting manufactured there, and discovered that Mansel has a leader named Ethan.
  • The Freelancers finalized their plan to capture Gillian by defenestrating her into the back of a cart, and agreed to return to Hinulei with said cart at midnight.
  • The plan went awry as Kaikoa missed the cart.  Gillian was captured, with two others, but not without a brief but loud nasty fight, during which multiple devotees of this blasphemy demonstrated divine spells in the name of the Daystar.
  • The Freelancers delivered their 3 captured cultists to the Church of Storms, and debriefed the Typhoon, who paid their fee of 15 stars each.  She indicated that the discovery of another leader, and off-skylith shipping, meant she would possibly have more work for Freelancers Guild.
  • Return to Freelancers in the wee hours before Petraag dawn, 3rd prime post-Fulcrum.
Loot
  • 9 10-eagle gems, 50-eagle gold bracelet, 150-eagle gold ring with pearl (Manu)
  • 6 10-eagle gems (Terrance)
  • Mission Pay:  15 stars each (10% to Freelancers)

  • Working with Arnari Rilynn'sithek, the five Freelancers Dryali Tezbeth, Tahu Tuala, Kalleth Ebonygrit, Meurig, and Terrance devised a plan to capture Jamie Mais-Quand and remit him to Bryseis Seere, based on the information gathered by other Freelancers in the prior days.
  • Once in position, Tahu and Kalleth discovered they were utterly unable to prevent Jamie from fleeing.
  • Dryali slew Jamie's pseudodragon familiar.
  • When Terrance, Tahu, and Meurig delayed Jamie from fleeing long enough for Dryali and Kalleth to catch up, Jamie did not fight them, but charmed Tahu and Meurig into fighting the others on his behalf.
  • Once cleared of the charm, the Freelancers captured Jamie by knocking his fleeing gryphon out of the sky.
  • The Freelancers stabilized Jamie and his gryphon – leaving the latter in Jamie's stable to recover – then searched Jamie's house to discover documents showing the Osprey is backing his vandalism activities.
  • The Freelancers delivered Jamie and his correspondence with the Osprey to Bryseis at the Skyguard Outpost, as well as proof the gryphon is doing well, and collected their fee of 200 eagles each.
  • Returned to Freelancers the same afternoon, and reported to Arnari the involvement of the pirate ship.

  • Mission pay:  200 eagles each (10% to Freelancers)

  • Dryali Tezbeth and Tuala were assigned to watch Jamie for a couple days, while Bryseis Seere of the Skyguard gathered the support of the Pilot's Guild and diverse others to capture him.
  • Dryali and Tuala went to the Hall of Records in Pegasus Square to learn what they could about Jamie's house and street.  They ascertained his last name is Mais-Quand, which is not a Duquesne name.
  • Tuala and Dryali based themselves in the park on Horsefeather Street, noting anything interesting nearby, and kept watch on Jamie's House.  Tuala hid in a tree, putting his spyglass to good use.  From his behaviour, Jamie was not "spooked".
  • The next day, Dryali and Tuala returned to the park on Horsefeather Street.  Jamie took his gryphon out for a long exercise, initially alarming them.
  • Tuala and Dryali returned to Freelancers and gave a report to Arnari Rilynn'sithek, who informed them the Skyguard Outpost had been vandalized the night before.  Certainly, Jamie was obviously not "spooked".  She paid their fee of 90 eagles each (keeping the Freelancers' Cut).

  • Mission pay:  100 eagles each (10% to Freelancers)
