  • Meurig, Cathance Lobhdain, Fine Branch, and Kalleth Ebonygrit agreed to guard the Pilot's Guild stables so their gryphons can get some sleep.
  • The Freelancers visited Kahale Aisake in the Pilot's Guild, and devised their plan for catching the gryphon harassers, via clever use of buckets of gryphon poop.
  • The Freelancers put their plan in motion, but the miscreants failed to show the first night.
  • On the second night, the Freelancers had the satisfaction of turning one harasser into a shithead, and capturing another.
  • The captured miscreant turned out to be a hireling of Jamie.  He was also kind of a dick.
  • The Pilot's Guild took custody of the prisoner, and found out about the Skyguard Outpost getting vandalized.  The gryphons stopped getting harrassed.
  • The Freelancers remained on night guard until the end of the prime, and collected their fee of 150 eagles each.
Loot
  • Mission pay:  150 eagles each (10% to Freelancers)

  • Fine Branch, Dryali Tezbeth, Tahu Tuala, and Kalleth Ebonygrit embarked on a mission from the Cliffshadow Skyguard to investigate and hopefully stop the vandals defacing the walls of their building.
  • The Freelancers visited the Skyguard building, and observed the defacements thereon.  They met with Bryseis Seere, the female hanyou who is chief of the Cliffshadow Skyguard.  Fine Branch had a plan to make the vandals easy to track, and Tahu decided to look for similar graffiti elsewhere in Cliffshadow.
  • The Freelancers applied pigmented pitch to the ground around the Skyguard building, then kept watch over night from nearby roofs.  Once the miscreants showed up, the Freelancers tracked the four of them to their rooms in the Trade District.
  • The Freelancers attempted to apprehend the vandals, who preferred mayhem over detention.  A melee ensued, in which a pseudodragon also participated.  The Freelancers prevailed, but not before one of the miscreants, "Jamie", escaped (as did the pseudodragon).
  • The Freelancers returned to the Skyguard with the three apprehended miscreants, who had agreed to clean up their defacements from earlier in the evening.  Bryseis was unhappy about the night's vandalism until she realized the perpetrators were in hand, at which point she paid the fee of 400 eagles for their service.
  • Returned to Freelancers in Cliffshadow on Oriotag, 3rd prime post-Periastron.
Loot
  • Mission pay:  400 eagles (10% to Freelancers)

  • Dryali Tezbeth, Kaelani, Hikawera, and Manu took a mission from Bertana Plumblossom of Haven to investigate the "rowdy" trees which had been interfering with the harvest in Haven, mostly because they wished to discover what that could possibly mean before the phenomenon faded out.
  • The party of Freelancers rented a mule & cart for their travel, and had an uneventful trip to Haven.  They arrived at noon.
  • Upon arrival, they visited Bertana Plumblossom, a female Mikumwes halfling, who had requested the contract from the Freelancers Guild.  She explained that her workers have been attacked by active shrubs which would chase them off.  She also suggested lodging for the night at The Local Flavour.
  • The Freelancers investigated the edges of the Plumblossom apple orchards, and found the shrubs in question.  Hikawera antagonized one of the shrubs with produce flame, and a battle between humanoid and shrub ensued.  In the end, an ambulatory beech tree appeared, doing its best to whomp Kaelani, but it too was defeated.
  • Since the Freelancers killed all the "rowdy" plants, they looked for more clues as to why, but found nothing.
  • A visit to the tavern was intended to reveal what local event predicated the rowdy trees, but instead Manu got so drunk the other Freelancers pranked him.
  • Lacking information, the Freelancers returned to Bertana in the morning.  She was happy with the destruction of the shrubs and paid the fee of 100 eagles each.  However, she also had no further information on events that could have caused the plant life to attack.
  • On the way out of Haven, the party of Freelancers stopped at a local distillery and Manu acquired 2 barrels of pear cider, which they brought back to Cliffshadow with the cart.
  • Returned to Freelancers in Cliffshadow on Rochtag, 3rd prime post-Periastron.
  • Upon receipt of the above report, Arnari declared the mission to clear bloodhawks harassing travellers on the road to the Children of Āhua town Mantzur urgent.
  • Manu sold one barrel of pear cider to Freelancers Tavern for 50% profit.
Loot
  • Mission pay: 100 eagles each (10% to Freelancers)

  • Tuala, Dryali Tezbeth, Tahu Tuala, and Kalleth Ebonygrit took a mission from Taleisin to stop the kobolds from attacking the travellers to Orderly Stones Monastery, north of Cliffshadow.
  • The party of Freelancers pretended to be a poorly-disciplined escort for Scholar Tuala, to draw a kobold attack.  After killing some and driving the others off, they tracked down the kobold encampment.
  • The party of Freelancers laid siege to the kobold encampment, and after much dodging from both sides, successfully defeated them, taking two prisoners.
  • The Freelancers tossed the kobold encampment, and interrogated the two kobolds, nicknamed "The Boss" and "Less Premium".
    • Acquired: 40 eagles, 900 cats, 2700 pebbles, 5 healing potions, 6 pieces of jewelry valued at <= 25 eagles each, and a scroll of feather fall.
  • Scholar Tuala turned out to be a Clockwork Soul Sorcerer.
  • The Freelancers allowed "Less Premium" escape, and chased the escaped kobold to a crack in the hills, which smelled of weasels.
  • The Freelancers brought "The Boss" kobold to Orderly Stones Monastery, and collected their fee of 100 eagles each, as well as a new request for Arnari.
  • Kalleth took his oath to Toka.
  • Returned to Freelancers in Cliffshadow on Chaostag, last prime post-Periastron.

  • Dryali Tezbeth, Kaelani, Kalleth, and Tahu Tuala were deputized by Arnari Rilynn'sithek to do the Pembroke courier run.  While there, if they could acquire a Corgi puppy for Hanohano of House Ha'aheao, the reward would be 800 eagles.
    • The mechanical airship for this travel is the Kenleven, captained by Cenwood Stalesong.
  • Dryali, Kaelani, Kalleth, and Tahu boarded the Kenleven and journeyed to Gemhallow on Pembroke.  On the way there, the airship was attacked by a hippogryph, and encountered some gas spores that needed to be shot at range.
  • The Cliffshadow Freelancers delivered the courier pouch to Einkil Logehr, male Rocklit dwarf, leader of the Gemhallow Freelancers, and collected their fee of 200 eagles.
  • They located a dog breeder, Ina Lang, a male Rock sagani who held a Gemhallow Royal Writ, and agreed on a puppy for Hanohano.
  • Dryali and Tahu acquired a cask of Coldstream ice wine from a merchant in the Gemhallow Market.
  • Einkil gave the Cliffshadow Freelancers a courier pouch for Arnari, and arranged passage pack on the elemental airship Pandion, captained by Nolan Mountainbond.
  • The Freelancers, with puppy, ice wine, and courier pouch, boarded the Pandion and journeyed to Cliffshadow on Duquesne.  On the way there, the airship was attacked by a flock of albatross, and the Freelancers helped fight them off.
  • Returned to Freelancers in Cliffshadow on Okeanostag, 2nd prime post-Periastron.
  • In Cliffshadow, they delivered the courier pouch to Arnari and collected their fee of 200 eagles.  Dryali and Tahu sold the ice wine to Freelancers Tavern for 50% profit.
  • They delivered the puppy to Hanohano and collected 800 eagles.  While returning from this errand, Kaelani spotted one of the Daystar cultists from the mission on the prior Sieratag.

  • Mission pay:  400 eagles from Freelancers + 800 eagles (10% to Freelancers)

  • Dryali Tezbeth and Tahu Tuala took a mission from Church of Storms to discover where the blasphemous Daystar Cult was producing its lotion.
  • Dryali led Tahu to the location in the Park where the Freelancers had found the Daystar worshippers gathering.  From there, detect magic was able to follow the spilled lotion trail.
  • As the Freelancers followed the trail towards the Trade District, Dryali was accosted by a footpad, but Tahu beat him off and relieved him of his coin.
  • The Freelancers located a warehouse in the Trade District not far from Freelancers Tavern.  They checked from the roof to confirm their findings, but Dryali was seen.
  • Tahu and Dryali delivered their findings to Typhoon Waiola Vaina at Church of Storms and collected their fee of 100 eagles each.
  • Returned to Freelancers Tavern the same day.

  • Kaikoa, Kaelani, Dryali Tezbeth, and Manu took a mission from Church of Storms to locate a meeting of Daystar worshippers.  Part of the mission was to avoid linking Church of Storms to their actions.
  • Kaelani prevailed upon the other Freelancers to visit Church of Ua.  They spoke to Downpour Anuhea, who had not heard of this activity.
  • The Freelancers headed towards the Park, and observed persons proselytizing others to attend a meeting of Daystar worshippers in the Park.  Manu and Kaikoa got details of the meeting and arranged to attend.
  • I cannot believe I am writing this record.  Who worships the Daystar?  The gods will become riled.
  • The Freelancers attended the meeting, except for Dryali as not even persons foolish enough to worship the Daystar would believe a Dark elf would partake of such folly.  Dryali climbed a tree to watch.
  • The meeting was led by persons in regalia of cheaply-dyed yellow leather.  Gillian seemed the leader, with Mansel.  They quickly discovered Dryali and coerced him into joining the meeting, which appeared to emphasize sales of a lotion.
  • Gillian dispersed the meeting, and directed two followers, Carlos and Sebastian, to detain Dryali.  He drew his weapon, but was paralyzed by her.
  • A melee ensued, in which Manu attempted to steal some of the lotion, and Kaelani, Carlos, and Sebastian were struck down.  Gillian and Mansel fled, taking most of the lotion.
  • Manu and Kaikoa stabilized the downed individuals, then Manu returned to Freelancers Tavern to retrieve goodberries from Sovelai to revive the fallen.  Dryali used detect magic to learn the lotion had both abjuration and enchantment magic.
  • The Freelancers returned to Church of Ua, where Downpour Anuhea healed the injured Kaelani, accepted a sample of the lotion for investigation, and took charge of Carlos and Sebastian.
  • Returned to Freelancers Tavern the same day.  Delivered lotion samples to Arnari Rilynn'sithek, who paid their fee of 90 eagles each in lieu of contacting Church of Storms directly.

  • Mission Pay: 100 eagles (10% to Freelancers)
