  • Ondar Thundercaller, Glesni Bōhatei, Mia Taumata, Nix Frostshaper, Sabah Banu, and Murai accepted the mission from Adrian Bryant of the Church of Storms to travel to Waypoint Alarm and determine, quietly, the disposition of the Daystar cultist lotion that had been shipped there.
  • The Freelancers took the Nimerigar-crewed mechanical airship Aster to Waypoint Alarm.  Travel was 6 days, and they had to repel attacking quetzalcoatls whilst passing Olyokoma.
  • Upon arrival at Waypoint Alarm, Nix disguised herself as Marcus, a merchant looking for opportunities.  The other Freelancers posed as bodyguards, but helped as stevedores for the unexpectedly shorthanded and overtired waypoint.
  • The Freelancers learned that evening that three of the tavern and warehouse personnel had become enamoured of the Daystar and had been going into the jungle daily, but then had disappeared, leaving the waypoint shorthanded.
  • The following morning, the Freelancers went into the jungle to investigate what happened to the missing Daystar cultists.
  • The Freelancers followed a well-used track through the jungle to a glade, wherein they found a stash of Daystar pamphlets, lotion, and some towels.  They found no other signs of the cultists, but did note dinosaur tracks.
  • While inspecting the glade, the Freelancers were attacked by and slew two allosauruses and four deinonychuses.
  • Glesni, Nix, and Murai skinned the allosauruses, and Ondar and Glesni determined these dinosaurs probably ate the Daystar cultists.  The Freelancers returned to the waypoint station and told Lustig Drakegaze, the station manager, about his people's fate.
  • The Freelancers maintained the ruse with Nix's disguise until they departed Waypoint Alarm 4 days later on the sail airship Sotis.
  • Travel to Cliffshadow was 6 days without incident.
  • Once back in Cliffshadow the Freelancers  reported their findings  to Arnari Rilynn’sithek who paid their fee of 180 eagles.  Mia was dispatched to the Skyguard to report on Waypoint Alarm's staffing problems.
  • Returned to Freelancers Fysitag, last prime post-Apastron.
Loot
  • Materials:  200 eagles' worth of dinosaur leather, 4 claws, 21 teeth
  • Mission pay:  200 eagles each (10% to Freelancers)

  • Damakaios, leader of the Ripa Daneo Freelancers, sent Dryali Tezbeth, Fine Branch, Terrance, Tahu Tuala, Tuala, Hikawera, and Quelenna to root out the constructs that had been disrupting traffic in the Vathia Estia tunnel road.  Freelancer help had been requested by Stathou Ragovir of the Truetunnel clan, the dverg liaison for the Vathia Estia Tunnel Authority.
  • The Freelancers visited Stathou at the Ripa Daneo clanhouse for the Truetunnel clan, to learn that these constructs had been raiding the caravans, roughly every other prime, and goods were missing.
  • The Freelancers went to the tunnel staging area, and secured an agreement to escort a small caravan led by a Rock sagani named Keoni.
  • Keoni's caravan reached Odikistas with no incident and stopped there to rest.  Before departing for Vathia Estia, Keoni added 2 more wagons to the caravan.
  • The caravan had travelled roughly half a day when three constructs descended from the tunnel ceiling to raid their goods.
  • The Freelancers battled the constructs, but had not considered how to discover where the goods had been taken.  Their hesitation resulted in injuries, especially to Hikawera and Quelenna, but the Freelancers prevailed, wrecking the constructs.
  • Inspection of the constructs' armour, the ceiling where they'd hidden, the side tunnels, revealed nothing beyond a possible maker's mark on the ornate armour.  The Freelancers loaded the armour on Keoni's wagons and continued on to Vathia Estia, which they reached that evening.
  • In Vathia Estia, the Freelancers part ways with Keoni.  They spent that evening and part of the next day trying to track down the maker's mark, but learned nothing.
  • The Freelancers found another caravan to escort to Ripa Daneo, and checked the tunnels along the way.  Beyond finding other hiding places for the constructs, they learned nothing new.
  • On return to Freelancers Tavern, they were paid 225 eagles each from Damakaios, who did not recognize the armour work.  Neither did I, nor did Alvyn Ricker Nackle.
  • Returned to Freelancers Tavern Chaostag, last prime post-Apastron.
Loot
  • Three sets of ornate plate armour + longsword + heater shield
  • Mission pay:  250 eagles each (10% to Freelancers)

  • Ka Kekoa, Lorcan Puddingrass Pasternack Tuinstra, Torinn Myastan, Khalid Malone, Timmy, and Minji accepted the mission from Kaiea Tihani, Mayor of Cliffshadow, to confirm there were no more surviving Cassowary fiends associated with the murders that occurred during the prior eighth post-Fulcrum.
  • The Freelancers' Initial look around Guildstrom turned up nothing, until Torinn led the others into an alley and they were jumped by 5 human muggers.
  • One of the assailants almost killed Timmy, so Ka and his winged bear Ohenui slew him, and they captured two of the others.
  • The Freelancers queried their captured cutpurses about any unusual murders, but these knew nothing.  They brought the captives to the Guard and asked there also, but the Guard had heard nothing either.
  • After checking around the area of the original horrific murders, the Freelancers decided to set up back in the alley to ambush any unwary cassowary fiends.  When their plan failed to produce any fiends, they set up the next night near the house of the woman who'd crafted the fiendish dolls.
  • Cassowary fiends again failed to materialize at this second trap the Freelancers had set up.
  • With no word on the street and no other sign of fiends, the Freelancers reported to Arnari Rilynn’sithek and collected their fee of 90 eagles.
  • Returned to Freelancers Tavern morning of Fysitag, 3rd prime post-Apastron.
Loot
  • Mission pay:  100 eagles each (10% to Freelancers)

  • Ondar Thundercaller, Kaelani, Broo'an, Nix Frostshaper, Lorcan Puddingrass Pasternack Tuinstra, and Hanno Okohei took a mission from Kaiea Tihani, Mayor of Cliffshadow, to investigate and stop thieves that had been stealing supplies from travellers on the road between Haven and Cliffgate.
  • To appear as normal travellers, the Freelancers rented a cart and invested in a cartload of spices, then departed.
  • Whilst stopped at Cliffgate the Freelancers spoke to two halflings who had been attacked, and concluded the attackers were pegasi.  They purchased supplies sufficient to subdue a half-dozen pegasi before departing for Haven.
  • The Freelancers chose a campsite along the road which had more footprints than merchant travellers could explain, then set it up to be tempting to feral pegasi who are looking for feed.  Their plan was to ambush and capture them.
  • Their plan went awry when eight feral pegasi swept into the Freelancers' camp. Combat instincts kicked in, and Ondar, Kaelani, and Broo'an attacked to kill instead of capture.  In the end 1 pegasus was slain and 7 captured, thanks to Hanno using spare the dying.
  • The Freelancers continued to Haven with the captured pegasi.  While in Haven, they sold their cartload for 50% markup, shoed the pegasi, then bought cider and mead for the tavern.
  • The next day, the Freelancers headed back to Cliffshadow, which took 5 days' travel without incident.
  • Arnari bought the alcohol at 25% markup and paid the Freelancers their fee of 90 eagles.
  • Ondar and Kaelani sold their pegasi to House Ha'aheo, but the other Freelancers kept their captured equines to train as mounts.
  • Returned to Freelancers Tavern Remitag, 3rd prime post-Apastron.
Loot
  • 7 feral pegasi (3 sold immediately to House Ha'aheo for 2000 eagles each)
  • Mission pay:  100 eagles (10% to Freelancers)

  • Ondar Thundercaller, Glesni Bōhatei, Mia Taumata, Nix Frostshaper, Sabah Banu, and Murai accepted the mission from Kaiea Tihani, Mayor of Cliffshadow, to track down and dispatch any surviving Cassowary fiends associated with the murders that occurred during the prior eighth post-Fulcrum.
  • The Freelancers visited the Church of Ua to enquire about the crazy lady Cass held there.  The cleric Jeanah explained that Cass is too crazy to produce useful information.
  • The Freelancers visited the Guards at a nearby guard house, who reported nothing unusual.
  • Lacking other information, the Freelancers returned to the neighbourhoods which had the horrific murders earlier in the year, and asked if anything strange was going on.  They discovered that the dark alleys have become unusually dangerous.
  • Returned temporarily  to Freelancers Tavern, and equipped themselves to go hunting in the alleys of Guildstrom after dark.
  • That evening, the Freelancers  found and slew two cassowary fiends, which smoked into nothingness.
  • Glesni and Nix looked for traces of any other cassowaries or related magic, but found nothing.
  • The following day, the Freelancers tried to figure out if they got all the cassowary fiends, by consulting with the cleric Jeanah and also Arnari Rilynn’sithek, who pays their fee of 135 eagles and said she would consult with the Mayor about the next steps.
  • Returned to Freelancers Tavern Remitag, 2nd prime post-Apastron.

  • Ondar Thundercaller, Osric Torunn, Glesni Bōhatei, and Meurig accepted the mission from Kaiea Tihani, Mayor of Cliffshadow, to investigate the placement of the map presumably tied to the faked death of Roberto Wendehals.
  • Before leaving Freelancers Tavern, Osric ran detect magic on the map, and I made a copy in case the map was magically altered later.
  • The Freelancers visited the Parkside mansion that Roberto used to own, which is now owned by House Lionfinger.  Kilix, head of house, told them Bernard handled the transition and gave them directions to Bernard's residence in Trade District.
  • The Freelancers visited Bernard and questioned him gently.  He was shocked that Roberto's body was missing, and hinted that the elegant lady's name was Natali.
  • During their visit, an assassin with two skeletons showed up and slew Bernard.  The Freelancers subdued the assassin and destroyed the skeletons.  Before going unconscious the assassin mentioned a lichess.
  • After binding the assassin, the Freelancers discovered dragonchess pieces, but nothing tying Bernard to  these miscreants.  Unsure what they should do next, they sent to Arnari Rilynn’sithek, informing her a lichess was involved.
  • Arnari and Nohea Tasi joined the Freelancers at Bernard's rooms, and after confirming he could pay for it, Arnari cast raise dead on Bernard.  After soothing his trauma, the Freelancers got enough information to realize Bernard's memory had been altered, and Roberto has been going to Three Rivers.
  • Arnari used suggestion on the assassin, named Lautaro, for the other Freelancers to interrogate him.  He revealed that both he and Roberto work for a person named Natali, who may be a lichess or may only be named Lichess.
  • Arnari contacted Mayor Kaiea, who sent over the City Guard.  Bernard was put under City Guard protection as he is now a target.  Lautaro was taken into City Guard custody.
  • Returned to Freelancers Tavern that same evening.
Loot
  • Coin:  84 eagles
  • Mission pay:  150 eagles (10% to Freelancers)

  • Lorcan Puddingrass Pasternack Tuinstra, Sabah Banu, Hanno Okohei, and Murai accepted a mission from Kaiea Tihani, Mayor of Cliffshadow, to investigate the placement of the map presumably tied to the faked death of Roberto Wendehals.
  • The Freelancers took the map to the Gnomonic Guild, and the chief scribe on duty, Lityerses, deduced the map is likely on Duquesne, within 2 days' travel of a settlement.
  • The Freelancers took a shortcut from the Gnomonic Guild to the Academy of Magic, and were attacked by a cassowary fiend in a back alley.  They slew the fiend and brought its corpse with them.
  • At the Academy of Magic, the Freelancers showed the corpse to Dean Nimblefingers.  He took samples and directed the Freelancers to Church of Ua.
  • Before leaving, the Freelancers spoke to Darag, the instructor who'd tutored Roberto Wendehals, about the map and confirmed it was written in Roberto's hand.  Darag suggested they track down Roberto's servants and ask them.
  • The Freelancers brought the cassowary corpse to Church of Ua and spoke to Jeanah, the cleric who'd helped with the murders investigation.  Upon seeing the size of the corpse, she sent for Downpour Anuhea, who thanked the Freelancers for bringing it to the Church and rewarded them with 50 eagles each.
  • Returned to Freelancers Tavern the same day.
  • Arnari Rilynn’sithek only paid 90 eagles each to the Freelancers, since the placement of the map was not fully solved.
Loot
  • Reward from Church of Ua:  50 eagles each
  • Mission pay:  100 eagles each (10% to Freelancers)
