- Ondar Thundercaller, Glesni Bōhatei, Ka Kekoa, Hanno, and Murai accepted the ongoing mission from the wizard Gwidion to clean up altered wildlife along Pirates River.
- The Freelancers travelled along the treeline, not the roads, arriving at the Pirates Dream river without incident on the third day.
- The following day, the Freelancers travelled upriver along the western bank in search of anything unusual. They were well past the fork along Pirates River when they encountered three froggoths. They were too close to the froggoths to avoid their confusion attacks.
- While the Freelancers were thus occupied, a strange giant eagle with hooks for wings attacked them as well.
- Glesni shot Hanno by accident and the giant eagle/hook creature almost killed Ka, but the Freelancers prevailed.
- After battle, Ka kept one of the froggoth corpses for later study, and the Freelancers burned the rest to prevent other creatures from eating them.
- They camped well away from the river that night, and headed back to Cliffshadow the next morning. The Freelancers again checked the river for froggoths, but it seemed clear.
- Arnari Rilynn’sithek identified the froggoth for the group, then paid 90 eagles each and disbursed the potion rewards: oil of slipperiness (Glesni), potion of fire breath (Ondar), potion of water breathing (Ka), potion of cold resistance (Murai), and potion of fire breath (Hanno). She successfully convinced Ondar not to drink his right away.
- Returned to Freelancers Tavern Vrontag, 3rd prime post-Fulcrum.
